In the newspaper we could have like news about children, teachers about how they have a sleep at playtime hehe and how the school and website is doing!

Hi Paige,
The Newspaper is a good idea. Every week may be a bit ambitious but I don't see why we couldn't do it every half term or so. That way we could make sure that it's a good read for everyone. How do you feel about using the school website for this 'newspaper'? It would save paper for our Eco Schools targets too.

As for the football team in 3/4 I think Mr. Tew will be looking to start the team after Easter as he is tied up at the moment with the Year 5 and Year 6 teams in the league and cup.

I don't think that it would be a good idea to have Year 6 against Year 3 children. There's quite a size difference between the children and Year 3 have far more skill ;-)

We could have a little newspaper every week or so so the kids can write things in there or they can read it outside at playtime if they dont have anyone to play with. Why cant we have a yr 3 + 4 football team because people in my class like Callum, luke, daniel and some girls love playing football in the yard and thats why i think we should have a 3+4 football team. And if we do we could have a 3,5 verses 4,6 match. that would be so cool. I REALLY WANT TO HAVE A 3,4 FOOTBALL TEAM!!

Hi Paige.

The scaffolding has been put up so that they can fix the roof above the Red and Yellow staircases.

Part of the scaffolding has come down already from around the office which gives us a little more space in the yard.

Mr. Jones will be letting parents know when he does about further work in the school and if you've got any questions he'll be more than willing to answer them for you.

Ive got a little question. why is the scaffholding on the school anyway? my friends mother said that it was on the paper that it is going to be knocked down. Is that true or is she lying. And is it true that mrs sammons is from LA?

Hello Rhian,
We hope that the first part of the scaffolding around the office will be taken down over this weekend.

We hope that the second part over the yellow stair case will be down by the end of term.

When it is all down then yes, Year 4 will be moving back into the Junior Yard at lunch time.

You can recycle the Yellow Pages in 2 ways:

1. Bring the whole Yellow Pages book into school and put it at the back of my classroom.

2. Bring just the covers of the Yellow Pages in and recycle the rest using the green kerbside collection recycling bags.

It's up to you!

Hi Morgan. Golden Table is going to start again next Friday in a slightly different way. The table will not be on the stage as before because we can't get the 'wheelie' tables up on it safely. Instead, the 'Golden Table' is going to be at the front of the hall near the serving trolleys.

It'll still be rewarding excellent presentation or efforts to improve your presentation - I hope to see you sitting on it soon!

Only member of staff I recall is Mrs. Popham! Nice to see you're still there, I can remember doing those wind tests in the then new nature area and of course logo on the old BBC Micro!
I saw Mrs Richards just before she retired at some conference and Mrs Morgan at Baglan IT (as it was then).
What is more worrying is I can reminder Mrs Richards's predecessor! lol

Hi Bethan,
Children who come into lunch for school dinners do have a choice of drink which comes free with their meal. I'll have a chat with the cooks and find out exactly what they are.

I think that Mrs. Evans is going to be speaking to all the staff and children about lunch time drinks soon as there have been children bringing cans of pop into school which aren't really safe in the bags in the cloakrooms.

I'll let you know what I found out soon. If you're still not happy be sure to let your school council representative know.

Mr. Jones and the School Council have arranged for a wall to be built to block in the bins so that they will be out of sight.
Hopefully it will mean that the whole yard will look a lot nicer!
